Many golfers struggle to select the right club for each shot, leading to inaccurate shots and higher scores.
Even with access to horizontal distance measurements, challenges remain due to slope, ball position, and lie, which collectively affect the actual distance the ball will travel. This variation is known as the "Plays Like" distance.
Example:
A hole may measure 198 meters (216 yards) from the golfer's position, but if it’s slightly uphill, the shot might play more like 201 meters (219 yards). This is where our Premium feature comes in to help!
Preview Round (iOS Only)
The "Plays Like" feature can be used when previewing a course by simply tapping the button in the top left corner of the screen.
It will help you better strategize your gameplay by displaying the actual distances and the "Plays Like" distances as you drag the target icon around the screen.
This feature is currently in development for Android devices.
During your Round
Start your round as usual (make sure to select the correct starting tee). Tap the blue Start Round button. When you're on the hole's map, press the Plays Like button in the top left corner. From there, you can turn the feature ON (blue) or OFF (grey).
Alternatively, you can tap the Settings icon on the right to toggle the feature ON or OFF at any point during the round.

You can also activate this feature on your Apple Watch. After starting a round, while viewing the distances on your screen, swipe right to turn Plays Like ON (blue) or OFF (grey).
Plays Like distances will also be visible on the left side of the hole maps, ensuring the information is easily accessible throughout your round.
