Setup your round
1. To start, choose the course where you will be playing from - the Play Golf tab will show you the courses closer to your location, but you can tap on Search All Courses and search by Courses (name) or Location. Click here for further information on how to find golf courses.
2. After selecting your golf course, tap Play Golf and configure your round.
3. On the Round Settings screen, you can select a date by tapping Starts and choose the course layout you wish to play (18 holes, front 9, or back 9, when applicable) by tapping Combination.
4. When the starting tee is selected, choose the input mode: SCORING (for a simple input, entering your score hole by hole), GPS ONLY (if you only want GPS distances), or SHOT-BY-SHOT (to track each shot, including distance and club used, throughout your round).
Scoring input mode:
- Tap Mode to select the Game Mode: General Play, Singles, Four-Ball, or Foursomes;
- Tap Scoring to choose the Scoring Mode: Stableford or Stroke Play;
- If you're a Premium member, decide whether you want to use the round for handicap calculation;
- Tap the Continue blue button to advance;
- On the next screen, select the Starting Tee. The app will present your playing handicap based on the chosen tee and your handicap. Tap Save to continue;
- On the Round Players screen, decide whether to play alone (keeping only your scores) or add players to your round:

- To play alone, tap the Start Round blue button at the bottom of the screen;

To add friends, tap + Add Player next to your data: Tap Search by Name to find your Hole19 Buddies > Tap Guests to add a golfer from scratch. In this case, tap + New Guest, enter the details, and tap Create (top-right corner) > Tap Done once all your friends have been added.
Note: If you have selected a Game Mode that includes groups, you should also manage them on this screen.

- Tap the Start Round blue button at the bottom of the screen to begin your round.
GPS Only mode:

Tap Continue.

Tap your name to select a Starting Tee and get accurate distances, then tap Save.

Tap the Start Round blue button at the bottom to begin playing.
Shot-by-Shot mode:

The only Game Mode currently available is General Play;

Tap Scoring to choose between Stableford or Stroke Play;

If you're a Premium member, decide whether you'd like to use the round for handicap calculation;

Tap Continue.
