We've made updates to the Shot Tracker feature to improve accuracy and data consistency. We understand these changes may require some adjustment, so here’s a breakdown of what has changed and how you can make the most of the new workflow.
What’s Changed?
Previously, you could choose to start tracking from either the tee position or your current location. With this update, the system now assumes:
- The first tracked shot on a hole starts from the tee position
- Subsequent shots start from the previous tracked shot’s end point
Why This Matters
If you prefer to track only selected shots rather than every shot, you can no longer start tracking from your current position for the first shot on a hole.
Why We Made This Change
At Hole19, we aim to provide the most accurate and useful data to help you improve your game. By automatically tracking from the tee, you can:
- Track shots more easily with a single tap
- Ensure accurate shot sequences and club performance data
- Benefit from future product developments that rely on consistent shot tracking
We understand that not everyone wants to track every shot, and we’re actively working on improvements to bring more flexibility to this feature.
How to Use the Updated Shot Tracker
With this update, tap "Track Shot" when you arrive at your ball, rather than when you hit your shot. This ensures a smoother tracking experience.
Managing Your Tracked Shots
To edit or delete a shot → Tap the shot on the map
To adjust shot location → Drag the marker to the correct position
To track your third shot → Ensure you have tracked your first and second shots first
