How to use Distances to Hazards?

The new Distances to Hazards feature allows Premium members to see the distance between their current position on the course and nearby bunkers and water hazards.
This makes it easier to plan your next shot with confidence and avoid trouble on the course.

How to use it

  • Start a round on the Hole19 app.

  • Tap the options button on the bottom left.

  • Tap the ⚙️ cogwheel icon  to open your round settings.

  • In the list of settings, find Distance to Hazards and toggle it ON.

Once enabled, you’ll start seeing distance markers showing how far you are from each visible bunker and water hazard on the map. If you also have Plays Like Distances enabled, it will factor in elevation changes.

Notes

The feature is off by default. Once enabled, it will stay on for future rounds. Available on both iPhone and Android. Available to Premium and Intelligence subscribers. If hazard distances are not showing, try deleting and re-downloading the course to make sure you have the latest course data:

  • Go to Play Golf and tap the flag icon in the top-right corner.
  • Tap Edit.
  • Select the course.
  • Tap Delete.
  • Start a new round on that course to download the latest version.

Distances to Hazards relies on polygon mapping for bunkers and water hazards. Most courses are already covered, but some may still be missing this data. If you notice missing hazard distances, please contact us and we’ll do our best to prioritise the course for an update.
