The new Distances to Hazards feature allows Premium members to see the distance between their current position on the course and nearby bunkers and water hazards on the iPhone.
This makes it easier to plan your next shot with confidence and avoid trouble on the course.
How to use it
1. Make sure you have the latest Hole19 app version installed and begin a round as usual. You’ll see the hole overview on your screen.
2. Tap the ⚙️ cogwheel icon on the right-hand side of the screen to open your round settings.
3. In the list of settings, find Distance to Hazards and toggle it ON.
Once enabled, you’ll start seeing distance markers showing how far you are from each visible bunker and water hazard on the map. If you also have Plays Like Distances enabled, it will factor in elevation changes.
Notes
By default, the feature is turned off. Once you turn it on, it will stay enabled for your next rounds.
Currently, this feature is available only for iPhone users. We’re actively working to bring it to Android soon.
This feature is exclusive to Hole19 Premium subscribers.

In rare cases, if you have an older version of a course downloaded, this may prevent the Distances to Hazards feature from appearing. To make sure you’re using the most up-to-date course version with polygon coverage, please try deleting and re-downloading the course:
Open the Hole19 app and from the Play Golf tab, tap the flag icon in the top-right corner.
Tap Edit.
Select the golf course in question.
Tap Delete at the bottom of the screen.
Start a new round on that same course. This will force the app to download the latest data.
Distances to Hazards uses advanced polygon-based mapping technology to identify and calculate distances to bunkers and water hazards. While most courses are already covered with this technology, some areas may still be missing polygon data. In those cases, you may not see hazard distances displayed. If that happens, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to prioritise your course for an update.
