If a phone number you don't recognise appears when you subscribe to Premium or Intelligence on the Hole19 website, it isn't coming from your Hole19 account. It comes from Link, the payment service used at our website checkout, and there is a quick way past it.
What's Happening
Our website checkout uses Link, a service by Stripe that saves your payment and contact details so you can check out quickly on any site that uses it. If you have used Link before, on our site or anywhere else, it recognises your email address and asks you to confirm with a code sent to the phone number saved on that Link account.
That number belongs to your Link account, not to Hole19. We don't collect or store phone numbers.
The Quickest Way Through: Pay Without Link
If all you want is to subscribe, you don't need to sort out your Link account at all.
- On the checkout screen, choose Pay without Link.
- Enter your payment details.
- Finish the purchase as normal.
Your subscription and any discount you were offered apply exactly the same way.
If You Want to Sort Out Your Link Account
Link is Stripe's service, not ours. We have no access to Link accounts, so anything to do with the number saved on yours has to be done with Link directly. Their own help pages cover it:
- Updating your information with Link, including your phone number.
- Resetting your Link account. Read this page before you start, as it explains what a reset affects.
- Link support, available 24 hours a day, for anything their help pages don't answer.
Notes
We don't choose your payment method for you
- Whether you pay with Link or without it is entirely your choice, and both work the same way for your Hole19 subscription.
- We can't make changes to a Link account
- We can't see your Link account, change the details saved on it, or reset it, even if you ask us to. Only Link can.
