How Auto Shot Detection works (Intelligence)

Auto Shot Detection tracks your movement during the hole and suggests where shots may have been played so you spend less time logging and more time playing. Available with Intelligence.

How it works

  • The app tracks your movement throughout the hole.
  • When you stop moving, it may suggest that a shot was played.
  • Suggested shots appear as grey circles with a "+" on the map. These are proposals only, not saved shots.

At the end of the hole or round, tap each "+" to confirm the shot and fill in any missing details like club and lie. The app will prefill the club based on your bag setup, and the lie using automatic lie detection when available.

How to enable Auto Shot Detection

  • Start a round.
  • On the aerial view of any hole, tap the cogwheel on the right side of the screen.
  • Enable Auto Shot Detection.

If you see a "+" where you didn't play a shot

This is expected. Auto Shot Detection only suggests locations, it never saves a shot automatically. If a "+" appears where you were standing still or waiting, simply ignore it and don't confirm it.

If a shot isn't suggested

Suggestions can be missed or slightly offset if you stop to place your bag, wait, or take extra time before hitting. At the moment, grey "+" suggestions can't be moved. If needed, add the shot manually using Shot Tracker and drag it to the correct location.

Best way to use Auto Shot Detection with Shot Tracker

For the most accurate results:

  • Start the hole using Shot Tracker.
  • Keep Auto Shot Detection enabled at the same time.

If Auto Shot Detection misses a shot, you can:

  • Add it manually using Shot Tracker, or
  • Tap a nearby "+", confirm it, then add any missing shots in order.

Shots must always be saved in sequence. Distances are calculated from the tee or from the last saved shot.
